A Whale of a Time: A guide to the wonders of Antarctica Paperback – April 12, 2025

When I visited Antarctica in 2024, I knew I wanted to share the wonders I saw with others. Antarctica is the most unique and magnificent place I've ever had the opportunity to visit. To not share a glimpse of this place would be a travesty. I compiled some of the pictures I took and facts I learned to provide a resource for anyone who wants to learn more about the 7th continent.____Have you ever watched a science-fiction movie or read a book where the setting is so vastly different from anything you’ve ever seen?I’m here to tell you about a land that sounds like it is straight out of someone’s imagination. The weather is harsh, but in an instant, the clouds can give way to the sun. The landscape can be dark, gray, and moody, yet it can suddenly transform into a hundred shades of white and blue. The terrain is filled with harsh textures and lines, as if the snow were actually chiseled chunks of chalk. Not a single spot looks the same. Each iceberg is entirely unique, floating in what looks like an enormous snowy sculpture garden.The scenery in Antarctica is seemingly unreal. Pictures cannot capture the beauty of God’s creation or the sounds of crackling ice and avalanches in the distance. Nothing can fully capture the heartbeat and adrenaline of a human when two 50-foot, 72,000-pound, humpback whales are rapidly swimming directly toward you.Antarctica is a beautifully unique place filled with such great serenity and calm that is quickly contrasted with the harsh conditions of the environment.In this book, I hope to give you just a glimpse into what Antarctica is like during the few spring days I was there.
